Olly olly oxen free is a phrase used in children's games, which is generally used to indicate that people who are hiding (in a game of hide and seek, for example) can safely come out into the open.

The exact origin of the phrase is unknown, but etymologists suspect it is a childish corruption of the German "Alle, alle auch sind frei!", (literally, "Everyone, everyone also is free!"), which is purported to have been a cruel joke often played upon Holocaust victims by their jailers. At any particular time, a prisoner might be released, immediately upon which the phrase would be shouted. Any other prisoners who also left would be killed further down the road by Nazi soldiers.^{[citation needed]}

The etymology above is highly suspect, though ingenious, as the phrase was almost certainly in use long before WWII.^{[citation needed]} The phrase referred to is also not proper German. That would be "Alle, alle sind auch frei!" or better "Alle anderen sind auch frei!" (Everyone else is also free).

Another theory is that it is a corruption of the phrase, "calling all the outs in free".

The phrase can also be used to coordinate hidden players in the game "kick the can", where a group of children hide within a given radius and a "seeker" is left to guard a can filled with rocks. The seeker has to try to find the "hiders" without allowing them to sneak in and kick the can. In many areas the phrase used is "Ally Ally In Come Free" which is a way to tell all hidden that is time to start the game of trying to get in to the can without being caught. Another phrase that has a similar meaning and possibly similar root is "come out, come out, wherever you are."

One of those weeks

Hi everybody. OK, i had this awesome blog thing I was going to do for Guy Fox day. (Yes I know I spelled it wrong.) Anyway, Then I had a crap day at work that day. I really don't remember everything that ruined it. I do remember that things didn't work out for me again at work; when it came to getting a better job. It was a long shot I know, but this time I fooled myself into thinking this time things would be different. Well, I am still a valued employee. I still have a great boss that thinks I am great. (Four bosses really.) Anyway, I just couldn't take it any more. So I had a ton of time off saved up, and took the last two days of the week off. I know that is so adult of me. It just makes me sick to get passed up again. Now I know it was a stupid self pitty party, but sometimes -not being perfect- means that you have to take a break. While it was nice to relax. It really didn't help me feel all that much better. Then today changed that. I saw an old friend from high school. Now I mean I "saw" them, not that I talk to them. I wish I would of. My bad mood had me coward out, but It still brought back the good memories. So Stacy if you are out there "Call me." I lost your number. I am going to call 4-1-1 I think. Then, at IHOP as well was my cousin Jen and her wonderful family. I only got to talk to Jen for a sec. But she is just one of the best people in the world. "She is also the funniest Jennifer's I know." I was going to talk to her, but I was tyring to herd the family. Which leads again to why things are going better. Andrea and Mike came down with baby for there Anniversary. Raymond is down too. He is great I just don't know Ray am Kim that well, because I have only been with them on a handful of occasions. We all went out for breakfast this morning. Most everyone was there. That was great. It is great to spend time with family. If you can't say that about your family then I really do feel sorry for whom ever you are.
Well, this is a lot for me. I am done.

I froze this morning.

What I got to do today. As Scott put it "so you get paid to stand around huh?" My response later, Yes. Yes I do." We were actually removing a valve. This is a contractor group removing and fixing. We had to vent the steam line for them to work on it. We then had to move the valve to the Plant. I sent a picture of the 100 lbs valve. It just has not posted yet.

After "Thriller" Note I am not in the picture. I wanted to show that I may not have had a good time, but someone did. I can't say it have a waste of time. Some parts were good. I just don't get art dance blah. they all work very very hard and did a good job. I just don't recommend it to everyone. just some one who will enjoy that kind of stuff.

It's October

Well, It's October and it doesn't really feel like it. Scarlet and I are usually two months in to scary movies by now. I think we have watched two this year... last week.

Well, I want to see some good ones this year. So everyone give some ideas. Let me know what we should watch this year. We watched Army of Darkness A couple of nights a go. That really isn't scary at all. It is a funny movie though.

Then at 12:00 is a special lunch time event. Eat someone else’s lunch then throw it at them and tell them you didn’t like what they made for you. After an hour lunch. There will begin a short grouping period so you may gather your minions till 1:30. Also at that time anyone horribly burned from lunch will have their burns treated and locked in a dark closet for later torture. At 1:30 to 2:30 the Fort building will begin including building and taking of territories. Take as much as you can as quick as you can. Then at 2:30 to 3:00 building defenses will begin. At 3:00 all activities will come to an end. There will be awards given away at the largest territory area. Where actually all the losers who fell for this will be grouped together and captured and the territories taken. The true winner will exit leaving evidences that will make the cronies look like the ring leaders. Giving the true master mind time to escape with all the spoils. Just my luck.

Ok a quick review before we get to the point of this blog. First, I would just like to remind everyone our luck with cars. Then our luck with traveling places. Now To the point. So I ride front runner for the first time. I get on without any problems. I avoided the crazy yet entertaining kid. I had a friendly couple sit in front of me. The Train starts and we are moving along just fine. Then we stop and wait for 10 min. I expected to wait... just not that long. The trains have to wait at certain parts of the tracks to past each other. Anyway, so we are sitting there and i am thinking this is taking longer then it should. I was my first time though so i thought maybe i am just crazy. Then the train conductor comes over the speaker and says "the switch we are at is not working properly. this could take a while to fix. Men are on their way to take care of it. Thanks for your patience." I couldn't believe it. I break everything. We were there for only a half-in-hour. So i can't complain too much. It could have been much worse. what really upset me is we were right there next to the beck street merger to I-15. I could see everyone flying down the clear roads home. I was entertained by the loud crazy kid in the back of the train. I made it home and had a good evening once Liz got Home. SO my advice is don't travel with me. Or maybe I should just say travel at your own risk with me. By the way I am flying with Liz to Washington. I get to take a whole plane of people down with me HA Ha Ha Ha ha...

In Honor of the X-Files...

With the New X-Files Movie Opening Today. I thought that Fox Mulder has a nick name. They call him “Spooky Mulder.” Now I should’ve stated earlier that Scarlet introduced me to The X-files. I really only watched it very little. She is a giant fan. I tease her more then I should about the fact that She didn't cry once at or wedding. She did how ever cry when “The Lone Gunmen” died. Anyway, I thought that all the die hard fans should have nick names too. Therefore Scarlet’s new nick name is (dramatic pause) “Ominous Evans.” I got one to “Eerie Evans.” You can all laugh all you want because so are we. We are going to go see the Movie Today after work. I am sure Scarlet will let everyone know how it was.

It's been really quiet.

Scarlet come home tomorrow! I am very glad. She has been in Washington State visiting family. It sounds like she is having a great time with everyone. I got to stay home and keep an eye on things. Which was fine by me at this point. With traveling by plane costing so much now we could only send one. I got to teach a Sunday school lesson to the 15-16 years old group. It went rather well. So as you can see Life is no fun when Scarlet is gone.

Stupid mistake

I made a stupid mistake. I left my Laptop at work. I also left my test at work. that means No Shcool. I was in such a hurry to get out of there. I feel really stupid. It is nice not going today though. I am also in a little trouble. The Novel Scarlet is writing is on the Laptop. that means she can't write tonight. So i am in trouble for two reasons. Most Importanly of All It is my Mothers BIRTHDAY. Happy Birthday to my Mom. you wouldn't think a village idiot would have such a great mom, but I do. She is also proud of me. She has to be though because she is my mom. She is great and has help rasie a pretty good group of kids. she only got one idiot out of the bunch. I post how old she is,but i won't. I made the the idiot, but I am not stupid. thanks Mom for all you do. thanks for all the sacrifices. Tahnks for not killing me when i was a teenager. Your the best.

The Fourth was fun!

Yesterday was fun. I got to sleep in. I then had to hurry to get to the parade. It was good. It was over cast so it was only 92 to 96 degrees. It was great to be with Liz's family. The two kids got candy. I think Z is going to have to teach them how to be more aggressive. You know throw a few elbows, get pushy. I have been told he's good at that. We then had a BBQ at my parents. It was great to see my brother. I would see him more if his wife didn't hate us all so much. She was in great mood though, so we all had a good time. We had a friend with us for the Fourth. She is great company to have around. My family really enjoyed her too. Afterwards we made home made ice cream. I love that stuff. Then we rested a little. My extended family came to my parents to have ice cream later. It is always great to see everyone of them. We are all so close. I wish i knew spouses better. When i came home from my mission everyone was married. That was just one of the many things i hand to adjust to. It was weird. Everyone was so adult like. Anyway, we then went up to the fire works. We met ever body there. Z always make thing more entertaining. The fireworks were good. The announcer wanted everyone to sing happy b-day to America. i thought that was ridiculous. I am sure some people enjoyed it though. then we went back to my parents for some more fireworks. Then home finally. I just want to add again how great it was to see everyone. I don't get to see some people very often. I maybe a quiet person, but I enjoy everyone company.

i was so excited when i took this photo. you can't tell but Anon had actually rushed the field. that's Right, he lept from the upper deck. Then ran down the stairs on to the field. I am soory, eh(Canadian for sorry) the picture didn't turn out. We were there for the first ever call change in AFL history. (pause for dramatic silence.) The coach for Colorado didn't like a call, so he challenged it. That meet he got his touch down. The Blazed played like Jr pee wee players, and lost the game. It was still a good time.

Wow! I wrote something!

Well, I had a busy week. I had school. That didn't go over very well. I complained about a test a while back. well My flash drive deleted it some how. That means I had to start over again. Now smart people would say" you should back it up." Well, I did. I just can't find it. Anything about this test is gone. So, I started over from starch. I have to work on it today, but I am blogging instead. I took a lesson from Z. Anyway, then at work the sever went down. That meant no Work for me, so I had to clean. Well, I did, but I got to work with the HVACR guys. That was great! Until I had to go to the 30th floor (roof) of the Office building. The hottest day of the week, and guess where I was.I took some pictures while I was up there. None of them really turned out though. It does have a great view from the top. I did help repair a A/C unit up there. Then I had to spend a day in the Boiler room. Now that was HOT. I am more use to that; since I spend more of my time at the CSCP. We have some guys that are putting new controls on the boilers. That means I won't have to use a step ladder to use them. They have lowered the controls for me. Being short really does bite sometimes. I spent the time at home trimming trees. I am also cutting away at a fallen tree a little at a time. I don't own a chainsaw yet. I will soon though. I did get to help my grandmother too. I also got to go to dinner with her, Scarlet, and my mom. that was the High light of my weeks. She is the best!
Last of all I heard from a old friend again. I owe him a apology. I am sorry I got so upset with him. Our last meeting, not this last one, but a while ago up set me. Which was my problem. He has no idea how much he taught me, just by being him. He really is a great person, and I apologize again. Lots of other things happened, but I can't remember. That means I am going to stop. Stupid Teachers!!

I went to school today, being that it is Tuesday. I was asking about a test I took last week. The teacher (who really is a great guy.) says to me "Your class info is out dated. We have been trying to fix this for 8 months. The test is old. You need the new test." So he gets me the new test. Which is almost just like the old test. Then I start going through it. It says you need to read all the info. I was thinking that it was all new information, and read through the old info. Then there is 26 pages of new information.The new information is just help full hints for doing your work!!! I read through all of this just to get to the last two pages. The Last 2 pages is the Test. I wasted the whole class time getting to a test I already had basically taken . Then I had to read a bunch of useless blah. Just to find out the rest of the actual test is just 2 pages!!! I know that the "creator" doesn't make mistakes, but I may have to take care of this one.

It's was a very good movie.

Liz and I saw Prince Caspian Friday. It is a very good movie. I really enjoyed this one. Liz loved it to. She cried at the end. We had gone out to dinner to Applebees before the movie. Then we went to the Rocky Mtn. Chocolate factory after. I got a Carmel apple, and Liz got a chocolate cover pretzel with Carmel in side. I love Carmeled apples. One of my best creations.(lol). Anyway, It was a good evening . It really was nice to get Liz out of the House. She is much happier now. Next week is Indiana Jones!!

IRON MAN WAS AWESOME!!!!

The movie was great!! I love it. that says a lot coming from me. I have hardly enjoyed any superhero movie that has come out. Iron man was awesome. It was funny, cool, interesting, and had great ending. You have to sit threw the credits for the best part of the ending. I'd talk about it some more but I don't want to give anything away. Just go see it.

My Blog for today

This is one of my best friends. He got married week ago. He is very happy. Jane his wife is happy too. It was nice to watch her wedding video, and learn about her. She is very shy. Plus they spent like every waking minute together like soon to be married people do. that meant we didn't get to see them much. Anyway, the trip was exceptionally nice with Liz. We got to go on a trip down memory lane. We got to see the old run down dirty hotel we had to stay in. We had a good laugh. the place looked worse then ever. We even almost had to stay there again. I think everyone should at least one stay in a dirty old motel at lest once in your. Life it builds character. Anyway, the wedding was very nice and kyle and Jane are very happy and that's what matters. Also, I shouldn't have to go to Manti again in long time so that in my book is good too. Sorry for all the people that live down there. It's nothing personal I just don't like that small poke and plum town thing.
